Munching @ Kiku
11:39 AMMy team had requested that we do a group sushi lunch. This suggestion evolved into a booking at restaurant Kiku on Hwy 7. Kiku offers a large, modern eatery turning out classic Japanese dishes & offering all-you-can-eat sushi. Kiku has a couple locations around Toronto but this one on Hwy 7 is closest to my current work place.
This restaurant is mainly an all you can eat sushi type. They do offer a la cart dishes if you want. For the buffet option, ordering food is quite easy and fun if you know how to use an iPAD. You find the foods you want and just hit the + and - buttons and send the order. The best thing of this system is you know what you order (the super list). The negative aspect of the system is that it doesn't tell you which foods have already come.
I have been here a few times due to work related events but it's the first time I noticed that they can REALLY EAT. It seems the PEYs (co-op students) can survive just on ice cream.
On a funny note, there was a table beside us that complained about a fly found in their vegs ... good thing I was done eating ...I don't think those ladies were going to come back to this place.
