Eating @ Clam Diggers Restaurant (Georgetown, Prince Edward Island)
7:39 AMWe came across this small town, Georgetown, when visiting the local small towns and many lighthouses across PEI. From my online research, this restaurant, Clam Diggers, was a popular local place due to the great location, friendly service and delicious food.
Food Rating: 3.5/5
Service: 3/5
Atmosphere:
The restaurant building was model after a earlier train station in the area. The restaurant had the most amazing, romantic spot on the entire island with the marvelous water views and light breeze. The restaurant was very clean and featured a lot of light pink colour themes.
Service:
Staff was friendly and accommodating to our requests. There were many tables available and got seated quickly with a window view to the waters.
Food Comments:
With being on PEI, I expected to find a lot of seafood options on the menu and I was not disappointed.
For this lunch meal, I got a mixed of fried fish and chips with fried scallops and clams. My SO ordered salad with crab legs on the side. My inlaws got seafood pasta.
Overall, I found the dishes at best average. There was nothing to exciting or innovative with the foods.
Would I come back? Yes - especially for the views and if I was in the travel area.
