Eating @ Grand Noodle
10:25 AMOne day, my colleagues heard of this place near by our work neighborhood and decided to try out this new restaurant called "Grand Noodle". After having tried so many freshly handmade noodle restaurants around Toronto, I was excited to find out that there is a "Grand Noodle" restaurant close by. I was evoked with visions of freshly handmade noodles circling the air and slamming down onto a flour surface. Sadly, the visions were quickly destroyed after visiting this restaurant.
Food Rating: 2.5/5
Service: 3.5/5
Visit: 12/01/2015
Atmosphere:
The decor was very elegant and clean with the white and black theme. It was very comfortable with a lot of sunlight since this restaurant gets a lot of sunny from the corner lot.
Service:
The servers were great and quick to pick up the orders. To order, we picked the noodle options via paper slip and gave the slips to servers.
Food Comments:
To me, the food options were similar/identical to Deer Garden Signature restaurant located at Time Square. In reference to the name of the restaurant, there were no freshly handmade noodles available. Every noodle type was bought beforehand and mixed together into a cooked soup and served to the customer. I found on yelp reviews that their best dish was sandwich dish ... This opinion really conflicted with the name of the restaurant ...
I found the noodle dishes to be average and disappointed. I also found the cost of the meal to be pricy just for noodles ($10+).
Would I come back? Never. Deer Garden Signature provides a similar menu item but found their food and drinks much better than this place. The legend of the cursed corner in Commerce Gate continues (previously was Dow Noodles and a hot pot place).
