With this posting, this is my 2nd time coming to this very upscale Indian restaurant within the Richmond Hill/Markham area. Before this place was Madras Palace Indian restaurant (buffet style) that was all you can eat.

TIPS: This restaurant is very hidden from Hwy 7. You can only access this restaurant from one street north of Hwy 7 via (Wertheim) and NOT Hwy 7. This restaurant exists at the base of a business building (really poor location choice IMO). Easy to get to Wertheim via Commerce Valley Drive West.

Atmosphere:
The atmosphere feels very upscale with a lot of high leather seats and large marble tiles around. A lot of dark brown themes in the decor around the restaurant. It's completely different from the Madras Palace restaurant that used to be here.

Service:
Service is okay for an upscale restaurant. They do check on your table often. The server I had said there was free wifi but it didn't work.

Food Comments:
This restaurant says it is committed to preparing food using traditional methods and fresh ingredients. The Indian food here is really tasty but it's so pricy compared to any Indian restaurant I have been to ... Some of the online comments say it's a buffet - it's not!

The flavour profiles for the food are really good and heard many good things from my colleagues who are very familiar with Indian cuisines.

For this occasion, we got the garlic and butter naan. It was perfect - no blacking/over burning - just perfect. Since this was lunch time and the menu was kind of pricy, we got a meats lover platter dish. It was good.

Would I come back? Maybe once in a while due to pricing.
